“Circles” are the heart of the Friends of St. Joseph. This is a small group that generally meets monthly to support one another as we live the CSJ mission in our daily life. Circles come and go as the need arises, so this list may be out of date. Please check with us at info@friendsofstjoseph.org for details if you are interested in becoming a part of one of these circles.

The Timberlee Circle

This was the original Friends circle and was most active from 2014-2020. It still meets every now and then.

Bread & Roses

This group has met for over fourty years, long before the Friends of St. Joseph was even an idea. This is a group of peacemakers and protesters, resisting the machines of war and singing for peace. These days the pace has slowed somewhat and Bread & Roses has become a monthly “sharing of the heart” circle that still focuses on justice and peace. It has welcomed a number of Friends and is a great group to be part of if you like a good march and song and maybe even a bit of civil disobedience!

Bread & Roses meets after lunch on the first Monday of each month.

Community Connections

Cara and Kathy organize this monthly pot luck dinner and sharing of the heart. They welcome anyone interested in a bit more of a connection to the CSJ community. This is a dinnertime meeting on Tuesday evenings, once a month.
