Midday Interfaith: Dialogue History Matters: Civil Rights, Black Lives Matter and the Role of Religion, 3/10

Professor Mahmoud El-Kati  will lead off our dialogue session focusing on what we as faith communities can learn from history to help us understand, address and act in relation to issues of equity and liberation today. El-Kati is Professor Emeritus of History at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota and a lecturer, author, and commentator on the African American experience.

We come together to pray for the unmet needs of our time. In March the theme will be International Women’s Day 2016: Planet 50/50 by 2030 Step it Up for Gender Equality, presented by Abigail Quigley McCarthy Center for Women and Multicultural & International Programs and Services at St. Catherine University.

An American House Screening with filmmaker, 3/13

This film documents the work of Annunciation House and its guests. Join us as we watch volunteers struggling with their place of privilege in the house, while we see migrants preparing for the next leg of their journey deeper into America.
